Scott Redding (Octo Pramac Racing) had a more difficult race at the Circuit of the Americas than intended, as he crossed the line in twelfth after also having suffered a crash in Warm Up.
Suffering some pain in his shoulder and struggling with the harder tyre choice, the Brit now focuses forward on Jerez after a good solid points haul from the first three flyaways of the year.
Scott Redding, P12: “It was a very tough race today. We choose to go with the hard tyre but I didn’t find the feeling. Maybe I should have tried the medium but now it’s too late for regrets. The problem is that I was unable to be competitive from the early laps. I had no traction in corner exit that’s why I had to work hard in braking, probably stressing the front tyre too much. We have some work to do and we must now focus on Jerez.”
