Lorenzo: “I’m starting to feel the Ducati is mine”

Positive day of testing after a debut podium in red

Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) didn’t try any new parts in the Jerez post-race test, but the ‘Spartan’ was happy with a good day’s work of even more mileage under his belt - finding improvements despite having already taken a first podium with the Borgo Panigale factory the day before at the venue. The Mallorcan finished the day in sixth after 50 laps, with a best of 1:39.124.

The five-time World Champion also tried the new Michelin front tyre, but preferred the one used until the Spanish GP – citing better mid-corner grip.

Jorge Lorenzo, P6: “Today, even though we didn’t really try anything new, we found some more effective solutions to the ones we used yesterday in the race. Overall I’m very satisfied, above all because I’m continuing to rack up the mileage on the bike and am starting to feel that it’s really mine. We were also able to test the new front tyre today, but I continue to prefer the one we have used until now because, in my opinion, it has better grip especially in mid-corner.”
