Romano Fenati (Marinelli Rivacold Snipers) had a tough home race in Mugello as he ended up outside the top ten, but the Championship challenger was back with a bang at the Catalan GP – fighting for the win and then coming home in P2.

Fenati is happy despite losing the victory, never having previously been on the podium at the track and having wanted to take a good haul of points after losing out last time. Next stop? The TT Circuit Assen.
Romano Fenati, P2: “The race was fantastic, I enjoyed it. It’s hot now! We fought a lot but at the end I tried to push a bit more because I felt good with the bike. I had a little gap because the bike was fantastic. On the last lap it was better to make a good position – not first but in Mugello it wasn’t good so it was important to get points for the Championship, for me and the team. I’m happy because it’s a good result, and here in Catalunya I’d never been on the podium. I think we can do well at Assen. I think our bike is good for Assen, so we’ll see!”
