Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) left it until the heat was at its peak to test on Monday at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, then putting in 33 laps and ending the day in P7. The Frenchman was positive about the day and happy to have been able to test a different suspension setup - getting in some useful laps as he continues his bid to be Rookie of the Year.
Johann Zarco, P7: “It was good to be on the bike straight after the race. It’s always a good feeling, because in the race you’re doing the maximum and the next day on the same bike you can have a different feeling and it’s easiest to test. I was waiting for the hotter conditions, around midday to two o’clock, and it was good to be on the bike. I didn’t do too many laps but I’m pleased we could try a different suspension setup, to have better feeling and traction, and entry on the bike. I think we did good work and I enjoyed the test.”
