Sunday Guide:

- Italtrans Racing Team's Mattia Pasini will start his 200th Grand Prix race from pole position. His first pole position since Australia 2007 when he competed in 125cc. Pasini is the oldest rider to start from pole in the Moto2™ class, taking the record from Kenny Noyes who was on pole at Le Mans in 2010.

- Pasini is the sixth Italian rider to start from pole position since the introduction of the Moto2™ class in 2010. He will be aiming to win his second race in the class.

- Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo), who finished ninth last year in Brno, qualified in second on the grid, his second front row start of the year, along with a pole in Argentina.

- EG 0,0 Marc VDS rider Franco Morbidelli will be in third on the grid, his ninth front row start on the ten opening races of the season. The first rider to achieve that feat in Moto2™ since Tito Rabat in 2014.

- Heading the second row is Francesco Bagnaia (Sky Racing Team VR46), his second best qualifying result of his rookie year after second place on the grid in Le Mans.

- Federal Oil Gresni Moto2 rider Jorge Navarro qualified in fifth on the grid, his best qualifying result of his Moto2™ rookie season.

- EG 0,0 Marc VDS rider Álex Márquez will complete the second row. His best Moto2™ race result at Brno is a fourth place in 2015, in his first season in this class.

- Second in the Championship, Tom Lüthi (CarXpert Interwetten) will start from 12th on the grid, equaling his worst qualifying result this year.
