Aprilia Racing Team Gresini raring to race at home

Second race on home turf for the Noale factory this season

Aprilia Racing Team Gresini riders Aleix Espargaro and Sam Lowes are ready for their next challenge, gearing up to race this weekend at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli – their second home event of the season.

Espargaro, who rode through the pain barrier at Silverstone following a karting accident ahead of the event, is feeling rested and ready to give it everything for the occasion – as is rookie teammate Lowes, after suffering with a foot injury after Brno. With successful tests undertaken for both riders at Misano, the team will want to take home some good points in the San Marino GP.

Aleix Espargaro: "I rested after Silverstone to recover from my injury. The tests done here went well. They let us take another step forward and we are coming to Misano with all our papers in order to do a good race. This is a special occasion for Aprilia and I'll give it my all."

Sam Lowes: "We tested here in Misano recently and I had a good feeling. This is Aprilia's home race, so I hope to do well this weekend. Right now I am feeling at ease on the bike and with the work the team is doing."
