McPhee ready to roll on the Riviera

BTT will fight by the beaches of the Adriatic

John McPhee came home in P13 at Silverstone on a tough Sunday, after the Scot had qualified on the second row. It was more points but the BTT rider is looking for more next time out at Misano - with six races of the season now remaining and the field tight at the top.

The 4.2km Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli returned to the MotoGP™ calendar in 2007, and is now run clockwise. There are six left- and ten right-handers to the track, and the longest straight is a relatively short 530m. For 2017, a number of run off areas have been splashed in colour and redesigned, making for an even more spectacular racetrack.

John McPhee enjoys riding the Italian venue and is looking forward to getting back in the battle at the front - sixth in the standings, five points off fifth and looking to move forward and gain momentum going into the final stage of the season.

The battle begins from Friday with FP1 at 9:00 local time (GMT +2), before the Moto3™ field face each other down on Sunday at 11:00.

John McPhee: "Misano is a very fast and nice circuit to ride. I enjoy riding here and I'm looking forward to getting out there. With Silverstone being a disappointing race, I'm eager to get going again. I want to replicate the good pace we had in qualifying last time out and then carry that over into the race - and get some momentum back before Aragon and the flyaways."
