Zarco aiming to fight for the podium at MotorLand

French rookie wants to bounce back from a very hard earned point at Misano to get back in the battle at the front

Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) crossed the line in P15 for a single point at Misano, but there was much more to the story than that. Running out of fuel on the final lap, the rookie managed to just about keep the bike going to the final corner - and then was forced to push. Pushed down from P7 as others shot past, the Tech 3 rider nevertheless made it to the line.

Now it's MotorLand Aragon and the Frenchman is sure of a good result and good pace, aiming to be in the top five or maybe even fight for the podium around the stunning Spanish venue.

Johann Zarco: “Aragon is up next and I am motivated about achieving a great result there. I would like to finish inside the top five and possibly fight for the podium, even if it will be tricky because many riders are fast at this track. As for me, I will remember the work that we did in Misano, which was positive, and the team and I improved a lot. We were unlucky on Sunday, but I will keep this unfortunate moment with me and then I want to delete it in Aragon by getting a very strong result. In addition, I’m sure that we can score a lot of points for the championship which will leave me fully prepared for the three overseas races in October.”
