Smith: "Starting from the back row wasn't easy"

...but the Brit made good progress to move forward

Bradley Smith (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) made a solid step forward for Sunday at Aragon, starting from the back row but moving up to take P19. Using the soft tyre to his advantage earlier in the race, the Brit then found it a slightly tougher task over race distance - but has more track time to make more progress as the Austrian factory remain at MotorLand for Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of flying to Motegi.

Bradley Smith, P19: "I'm pleased with the race to turn around things from practice. Starting from the back row wasn't easy but with the soft tyre I could get myself into contention; the bad news is that it maybe wasn't the best of tyre choices in the long run. It was a gamble but towards the end it wasn't to be as it's frustrating to miss out on a points scoring finish. Now we all look forward to the test on Tuesday and Wednesday to put together a solid package for the fly-away races."
