Marquez, Pedrosa, Lorenzo head FP4

Spanish trio top the timesheets – but Marquez holds the ace ahead of qualifying

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) topped FP4 by an incredible second and a half at the Twin Ring Motegi, extending his advantage by an extra half second on his final lap after teammate Dani Pedrosa had cut the gap shortly before. Pedrosa was second quickest, with Ducati Team’s Jorge Lorenzo third fastest.

Crashers included Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) and Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP); the nine-time World Champion not aggravating his recently broken leg.
