Moto2™ and Moto3™ back out at Mugello for testing

The intermediate and lightweight classes enjoy another day of track action in Tuscany after the Italian GP

Just as last time out at Le Mans, the Monday following the Italian GP will see Moto2™ and Moto3™ back out on track for a one-day Official Test, with the majority of both fields staying on for the extra day.

Race winner Jorge Martin and Del Conca Gresini Moto3 teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio head the Moto3™ line up, along with Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi (Redox PrüstelGP) and teammate Jakub Kornfeil, with 24 riders expected to be testing. That includes the likes of Leopard Racing, Petronas Sprinta Racing and Sky Racing Team VR46, as well as double Le Mans podium finishers the Angel Nieto Team.

There’ll be even more Moto2™ contenders out too, with nearly 30 names staying put to put in some more laps of the stunning Italian track. They include race winner Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and teammate Brad Binder on their KTMs, as well as runner-up Lorenzo Baldassarri (Pons HP 40) and Dynavolt Intact GP’s Xavi Vierge and Marcel Schrötter.

There will be representation for every manufacturer out in the intermediate class – with Fabio Quartararo and Danny Kent for Speed Up, Forward Racing Team on their Suters and Bo Bendsneyder on the Tech 3 Racing machine joining Kalex and KTM representation – as well as the newest chassis on the block, NTS.

NTS RW Racing GP duo Joe Roberts and Steven Odendaal will be very eager to head back out, with the American and South African having taken a double points finish for the team on race day and looking to keep progressing in the Japanese manufacturer’s first season.

Action starts from 10:00 (GMT +2) for Moto3™, with the classes enjoying alternate sessions throughout the day. Moto2™ end the action at 18:00.
