Enrolment and selection
Registration opens at www.asiatalentcup.com on 13th July and the application period closes on 12th August, 2018. Once prospective participants have applied online, their application will be considered and they may be invited to the Selection Event in October.
The Selection Event will take place at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, on Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st October – just before the 2018 Malaysian Grand Prix. There, our panel of experts will put applicants through their paces and the best will be offered the chance to join the 2019 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup and start their Road to MotoGP™.
There’s no minimum level of experience required from prospective competitors, but a certain skill level must be shown. Previous experience could include dirt-track, motocross, scooter or mini bike racing, but the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup searches for talent, not experience.
Applicants must be born between January 1st, 1998 and February 1st, 2006.
From all the candidates who register between 13th July and 12th August, the list of those selected to attend the Selection Event will be published on the 12th of September 2018.
