Andrea Iannone (Team Suzuki Ecstar) went quickest in FP1 at the Pramac Motorrad Deutschland Grand Prix to beat Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) by 0.390, setting a best time of 1:21.442, with Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) the only other rider to dip under the 1:22 minute bracket in third.

Maverick Viñales (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) was fourth fastest in the opening premier class session, with Ducati Team’s Andrea Dovizioso rounding out the top five – 0.819 back of Iannone.
Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar), Alvaro Bautista (Angel Nieto Team) and Tito Rabat (Reale Avinita Racing) all crashed in quick succession mid-way through the morning session – all riders ok.
