MotoGP™ on Sky Italy for the next three years

Sky purchases the exclusive broadcasting rights to the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship until 2021

Sky will be the home of MotoGP™ in Italy for further three years. Thanks to an agreement with Dorna Sports, Sky has acquired the exclusive television rights for all the live races of the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship for the next three seasons  - 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Therefore, Sky will air all the GPs of all three categories - MotoGP™, Moto2™, Moto3™ - as well as the races of the new FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup on all the available platforms (via satellite, digital terrestrial and fiber) for the three-year period from 2019-2021. The reference channel will be, as usual, Sky Sport MotoGP (channel 207).

Sky thus establishes itself as the home of motorsport, including the exclusive live broadcast of all the F1 World Championship GPs until 2020.

The reporting of the MotoGP™ World Championship on Sky will always be at the forefront, with in-depth magazine shows and the best technology thanks to Sky Sports Tech augmented reality and interactivity.

There will also be extensive coverage on digital platforms. On there will be videos, images, news, interviews, magazines and continuously updated content, as well as news in real time on Sky Sport24, the Sky Sports App and the official social media channels.

“We are extremely pleased to be once again partnering with Dorna in Italy for the next three seasons. Sky Sport will be the home of MotoGP until 2021," commented Matteo Mammì, Senior Director of Sport Rights, Programming & Production at Sky Italia. "With our dedicated channel Sky Sport MotoGP, we want to continue to grow MotoGP audience in Italy, the country of talents and teams across all three categories. After five years of exciting challenges, we look very much forward to reporting all the track action and experiencing the race thrills for three more seasons.”

"We're very proud of this extension with Sky," says Manel Arroyo, Managing Director - Dorna Sports. "It has been proven that we have developed a highly profitable partnership, developing new viewer experiences and putting in consistent work to help to grow the audience of the sport even more. After five seasons working together, Sky have become a perfect ally with whom we are going to continue exploring new possibilities for our sport in the future and growing our MotoGP audience in Italy."
