Presenting: Yamaha and Monster

The recently-announced partnership for 2019 held a shared Press Conference at Brno to discuss their deal

On Thursday of the Monster Energy Grand Prix České republiky, representatives from both Yamaha and 2019 title sponsor Monster sat down for a Press Conference at Brno - giving some insight into their new deal, announced recently. Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, and Mitch Covington, Monster Vice President of Sports Marketing, were on hand to field the questions as the two brands deepen their mutual commitment.

"We are extremely happy to have this new agreement with Monster Energy," says Jarvis. "We’ve been a partner of Monster Energy for many years, in MotoGP but also in other motorsports disciplines. There’s a strong relation between our two brands and this MotoGP deal will be the beginning of a stronger relation between the two companies."

Covington also used the opportunity to look back on a glorious past as they lay foundations for the future: "Monster's main marketing platform is motorcycle racing, and this is probably the most important team in the motorcycle world. We started in motorcycling 11 years ago, with John Hopkins, with a little logo on his helmet. The brand is 15 years old and we’ve been in motorsport at least 11! We are super excited to be here as a title sponsor of what we consider a major winning team."
