Isaac Viñales replaces Granado at Forward Racing

The Brazilian has parted ways with the Forward Racing Team ahead of the Austrian GP

Ahead of the Austrian GP, Forward Racing Team have announced that Eric Granado has parted ways with the team and will be replaced by Isaac Viñales, who recently split with SAG Team.

“It's never a pleasure to announce the replacement of a rider during the season, especially when it comes to Eric, he’s a very professional boy, with a lot of education,” said Giovanni Cuzari, owner of the Forward Racing Team.

“The team would like to thank him for his involvement. But when a rider competes head-to-head in two Championships, you need to have a sense of priorities. Eric is currently first in the Brazilian Superbike Championship. It is more logical that he devotes himself fully to this because this dual commitment does not allow him to be fully focused. We wish him the best for the future and we thank him for his availability. Eric will be replaced from Austria by Isaac Viñales. The team welcomes him. Isaac is currently racing his third season in Moto2™. He's an experienced guy, he ran on different bikes. We hope he will quickly adapt to our Suter, to reveal his full potential and score points.”
