Bautista: from WorldSBK to MotoGP™ in Jerez

Spaniard is set to replace Ducati test rider Michele Pirro at the Jerez Test as the Italian recovers from recent surgery

Aruba.it Racing Ducati WorldSBK rider Alvaro Bautista will be back on board a MotoGP™ bike at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto as he takes part in the two-day Jerez Test.

Ducati have decided the former Angel Nieto Team rider is to replace regular test rider Michele Pirro, after the Italian underwent surgery to correct an acromioclavicular dislocation suffered in his heavy crash at the Italian GP.

Bautista will jump back onto a Desmosedici on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th after two days with his new Panigale V4R, with the 2006 125 World Champion aiding the development of the GP19.
