Dorna Sports is delighted to announce that MotoGP™ will remain with MTV Finland following a new three-year agreement running from 2019 to 2021. All races and qualifying sessions for MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™ will continue to be shown live, as well as each race of the all-new FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup and the live events of the MotoGP™ eSport Championship. All programming will also be available on MTV’s SVOD CMore sports package and the network will promote MotoGP™ across all their channels and digital platforms.
Finnish commentary and a special focus on the Finnish riders and teams in MotoGP™ will tailor MTV Finland’s coverage of the world’s fastest motorcycle racing Championship to perfection for fans in Finland; a country with an incredible history in motorsport. That history is also set to grow before long as Finland prepares to join the MotoGP™ calendar and MTV Finland will cover the event on site at the Kymiring from its debut.
“MotoGP is one of the most popular motorsports in the world, which is no surprise, since there’s so much happening on the track all the time," says Markus Autero, MTV Head of Sports. "The races are broadcasted to over 200 countries, and we are very happy to be part of this with C More – and live shows on 38 days.”
“It gives me great pleasure to say that MotoGP will remain with MTV Finland for three more years,” says Manel Arroyo, Managing Director of Dorna Sports. “They have been and continue to be a fantastic partner for the sport and give important exposure to our valuable Finnish presence in the paddock. With a Finnish rider and team set to compete in MotoE together and the KymiRing to debut on the calendar soon, the future of Finland and MotoGP is bright. This contract extension ensures fans in the country will continue to get the best coverage of the sport.”
MotoGP™ will be firing up for 2019 at Sepang International Circuit in early February, before the season begins mid-march in Qatar.
