Moto2™ and Moto3™ teams head to Jerez for testing

A selection of intermediate and lightweight class riders are in southern Spain to continue their 2019 preparations

After some Moto2™ and Moto3™ teams were in Valencia for a private test less than a week ago, it’s now time for the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto to host a private test as a selection of intermediate and lightweight class teams get their 2019 preparations back underway.

In Moto2™, 14 riders are in southern Spain. EG 0,0 Marc VDS’ Alex Marquez and Xavi Vierge are at Jerez after also being present in Valencia. With them is Sam Lowes (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2), Dynavolt Intact GP’s Marcel Schrotter and Tom Luthi, Speed Up Racing’s Jorge Navarro and rookie Fabio Di Giannantonio, along with Italtrans Racing’s Enea Bastianini and Andrea Locatelli. In addition, Ekky Dimas Pratama (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia), his teammate Somikat Chantra, Lukas Tulovic (Kiefer Racing) and SKY Racing Team VR46 representatives Luca Marini and Nicolo Bulega.

In the Moto3™ class, only four teams are present. Kommerling Gresini Moto3 are in Jerez with riders Gabriel Rodrigo and Riccardo Rossi, while Estrella Galicia 0,0 have Alonso Lopez and Sergio Garcia on track. CIP – Green Power’s Tom Booth-Amos is getting to grips with his new machine, with Celestino Vietti (SKY Racing Team VR46) and teammate Dennis Foggia continuing their preseason work.
