How to become the 2019 MotoGP™ eSport Champion

The MotoGP™ eSport Championship is back in 2019 and sees more opportunities than ever to fight for the title

The 2019 MotoGP™ eSport Championship launches on the 19th June, offering you the chance to fight for victory and challenge for the crown. For this season, the competition will be bigger and more intense than ever.

To participate, you must be enrolled to compete in the MotoGP™ eSports Championship. Start your journey to the top by logging in with your existing esport.motogp.com account or register a new one and be sure to accept the 2019 Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Terms of Participation.

There are three stages of the 2019 MotoGP™ eSport Championship. The first is the Online Challenges, where players must beat pre-determined lap times in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, Moto3™, Moto2™ categories to progress through to the actual “time attack” with MotoGP™ bikes where the times are recorded and ranked. There are six Online Challenges in total, where riders play with a specific rider and machine at a certain track in predetermined conditions.

Stage two is otherwise known as the Pro Draft. This pits the fastest 36 competitors from Europe in the Online Challenges against one another, while there is a separate selection for the 36 fastest from the rest of the world. Each gamer will have to compete with the platform with which it has been classified (PS4, Xbox One or PC) to be one of the twelve 2019 MotoGP™ eSport riders.

The final phase of the MotoGP™ eSport Championship is the Global Series, which comprises of six races and is held at three different locations. Uniquely for 2019, each competitor will race for one of MotoGP™’s current teams during the six high-stake races. The bike with which each gamer contests the Global Series will be determined by one last challenge that follows the final rider selection at the close of the Pro Draft.

All races will be held on PC but every gamer will be able to play with their preferred controller. The Global Series shall determine the ultimate winners of the MotoGP™ eSport Championship according to the following Rider’s Championship Points & Events.
