The Monster Energy Grand Prix České republiky looks like it could be one of the closest rounds of the 2019 MotoGP™ World Championship, but there could be one final twist ahead of qualifying. With dark clouds looming today, it seems they may well drench the circuit on Saturday morning, making for a wet Automotodrom Brno. It could be yet another Friday where the top ten has been decided before the FP3 cut-off, making for fireworks to light up the darkening Czech sky.
Out of nowhere!!! ????

At the moment, all four Yamaha YZR-M1s are secured in, with Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) securing the top spot with a lap time out of nowhere. Both Ducati Team riders are also safely through, with Andrea Dovizioso in fourth, whilst Danilo Petrucci sits on the brink in tenth. The best Ducati however is the one in the hands of Jack Miller (Pramac Racing), up in third. The only two Honda riders through are Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) and Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda Castrol), whilst the sole Suzuki inside the top ten thus far is Alex Rins (Team Suzuki ECSTAR). However, this is all provisional and should the rain stay away, then it really could be all change.
Looking to spoil the current top ten party are likes of Joan Mir (Team Suzuki ECSTAR), Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu) and Portuguese sensation, Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Tech 3). You can never rule out a ‘bite the screen’ lap from either Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) nor his brother, Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing). Make sure not to miss out on a tantalising Saturday morning prospect.
