Marquez, Marini a step ahead on Sunday morning

Championship leader is fastest on a dry Aragon track, title rival Fernandez was third in Moto2™ Warm Up

Polesitter and Championship leader Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) kicked off Sunday at the Gran Premio Michelin® de Aragon by topping Moto2™ Warm Up. A 1:53.842 on a dry track saw the Spaniard head Luca Marini (SKY Racing Team VR46) by 0.027, with Augusto Fernandez (FlexBox HP 40) P3.

Early morning rain saw Moto3™ and MotoGP™ Warm Ups play out on a damp MotorLand Aragon circuit, but a fully dry line had appeared for the intermediate class. Iker Lecuona (American Racing KTM) and Sam Lowes (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) completed the top five ahead of the race.

Moto2™ Day 2: Another Marquez on pole at MotorLand!

And that race will go green at 14:30 local time (GMT+2) AFTER the MotoGP™ race has taken place at 13:00.
