EG 0,0 Marc VDS rider Sam Lowes has been ruled out of the remainder of the QNB Grand Prix of Qatar following medical advice to not risk further injury to his shoulder.
The Briton bravely rode yesterday and, despite barely any pre-season testing, was just over a second adrift of Joe Roberts’ (American Racing Team) new outright lap record. However, after further consultation on Saturday morning, the decision was taken to sit out the remainder of the opening round of the Moto2™ World Championship.
Following the medical advice and in accordance with the Team, @SamLowes22 will no longer participate in the #QatarGP despite the good performance showed in yesterday's free practices.
