Rins claims the Suzuki is a "winning bike"

In the last episode of the Spanish edition of the MotoGP™ podcast, the Suzuki rider gave his thoughts on 2020 and his 2021 contract

Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar) spoke with Ernest Riveras and Izaskun Ruiz on the latest episode of the official Spanish MotoGP™ podcast, ¡Cambia el Mapa! (Change the Mapping!), about the key points of his renewal with Suzuki. He also confessed that he believes he can achieve good results with the 2020 Suzuki GSX-RR.
In addition, he revealed the advances that the team made during the winter for the 2020 season, which could already be seen during the preseason tests.

Rins and Suzuki announced last week that the Spanish rider would remain with the team for at least two more seasons, but the reality is that negotiations were in place “since Argentina 2019”. The two-time premier class Grand Prix winner had every intention of remaining with his team, confessing that he wanted to announce it at “one of the Grands Prix or with a good result” but the current pandemic lockdown forced a change of plans, “It couldn’t have been done any other way.” adding that he feels “very happy because it’s the team that I want to be at”.

The Spanish rider insisted that the Suzuki “is a winning bike.” admitting that if he had not been certain that he could be Champion with his current team he “would not have renewed with them".

As we saw during the preseason tests, Alex Rins is one of the fastest riders on the grid. “They have been working to get more power on the straight", he also added that "we have taken a step forward with the chassis and engine”.

During the podcast, Rins also talked about how he was training at home, what he was doing during his free time in confinement and told us the story about his extreme haircut.
