During the enforced break from Grand Prix competition, Red Bull KTM Ajo caught up with one of their Moto3™ riders, Kaito Toba, to see how the Japanese star is getting on at home.
How are you experiencing the current situation and what is the situation like in your country?
“At the moment I'm doing pretty well. For the time being, the situation in Japan is not as tough as it is in other countries. However we have to be very careful, since it is a very delicate matter.”

Taking into account the preventive measures decreed in Japan, how are you training and staying fit?
“Above all, I do a lot of stationary bike work and I supplement my workouts with some exercises such as squats, push-ups and sit-ups. I have adopted a routine that allows me to train at home and that also helps me maintain my fitness - and even improve it.”
Besides continuing to exercise, what is keeping you entertained?
“In my free time I like to watch television. I also play the MotoGP videogame, since it is like a way of training, learning the circuits. It's also fun and it helps me to be distracted.”
How was your rookie year with the Red Bull KTM Ajo team going?
"It was going well. Red Bull KTM Ajo are, without a doubt, a good team and I am very happy to have become part of this family.”
Have you had any kind of contact with your team?
"I try to keep in touch with the team members and find out how they are, using WhatsApp or social networks."
What message do you want to send to people and, above all, to MotoGP™ fans?
“I want to convey the importance of staying healthy and safe. That will also help all those who continue working. If we follow the instructions, we will soon be riding together again. I hope to see all of you again at the circuits very soon.”
