Marc Marquez aiming to ride at this weekend's Andalucia GP

Just four days after fracturing his humerus, the World Champion will try to ride at this weekend's Gran Premio Red Bull de Andalucia

Repsol Honda Team's Marc Marquez will try and make an astonishing return to MotoGP™ this weekend, just four days after fracturing his right humerus in Sunday's season-opening Spanish Grand Prix. The World Champion had successful surgery on Tuesday, with MotoGP™ Traumatology Specialist Dr Mir saying the Spaniard could at best hope for a Brno return in two weeks.

However, in a superhuman effort, the eight-time World Champion is currently travelling to the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto where he'll then undergo a medical check at 13:30 this afternoon, with the hope of being passed fit by the MotoGP™ medical team so he can then participate in this weekend's Gran Premio Red Bull de Andalucia.

Stay tuned to motogp.com throughout the day, where we'll bring you the latest official news on Marquez's plan to race this weekend, plus if fellow superhumans Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar) and Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda Castrol) can also manage to pass fit following the injuries they sustained last weekend.
