Rins and Binder into Q2 as Dovizioso misses out again

The injured Alex Rins and rookie Brad Binder move through as 2019 podium finishers in Brno, Dovizioso and Miller, both fail to progress

Team Suzuki Ecstar's Alex Rins continued his MotoGP™ heroics as he topped Q1 at the Monster Energy Czech Republic Grand Prix, despite still suffering from a fracture-dislocation of his right shoulder sustained at the Spanish Grand Prix. The Spaniard will be joined in the fight for pole position by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Brad Binder, after the rookie benefitted from Takaaki Nakagami's (LCR Honda Idemitsu) fastest flying lap being cancelled for exceeding track limits.

It was a day to forget for the Ducati factory though as both Jack Miller (Pramac Racing) and Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) crashed out at the Q1 stage. Both the Italian and Australian stood on the Brno podium 12 months ago but will now start Sunday's Czech Grand Prix from 14th and 18th on the grid respectively.
