Aleix Espargaro handed three-place grid penalty

The Aprilia Racing Team Gresini rider failed to respect the blue flag whilst exiting pitlane in Q2

Aprilia Racing Team Gresini's Aleix Espargaro has been handed a three-place grid penalty ahead of this afternoon's Gran Premio de Europa. The Spaniard was adjudged to have not respected the blue flag when exiting pitlane during Q2 on Saturday and, as a result, interfered with Petronas Yamaha SRT's Franco Morbidelli.

Therefore, Pramac Racing's Jack Miller will now jump onto row two of the grid and start sixth at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, with Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Tech3) fronting the third row ahead of Morbidelli and Espargaro.
