Rossi and Marini secure podium finish in Gulf 12 Hours

The Italians showed they can do the business on four wheels in Bahrain, taking 3rd place in the endurance race

Valentino Rossi (Petronas Yamaha SRT) and Luca Marini (Esponsorama Racing) proved that their motorsport class isn’t limited to two wheels as the Italian siblings secured a podium finish at the Gulf 12 Hours in Bahrain.

Riding in a Ferrari 488 GT3 for the Monster VR46 Kessel Racing Team, the pair were joined by Alessio ‘Uccio’ Salucci as they secured a third-place finish in the GT3 Pro-Am class and a fourth-place finish overall.

Starting from 8th place, the Doctor and his team managed to fight their way up the field to secure honours in the Gulf, leaving them delighted with their performance.

“It was a beautiful day. We had fun and, in the end, we managed to get on the podium. We’re happy because the cars we’re all very fast. As usual, we were more competitive in the second part of the race, the night one. It was great to race with Uccio and Luca, who were very fast, and to work with all the guys on the team,” said Rossi.
