As the opening Official MotoGP™ Test of 2021 draws ever closer, contenders across all classes are enjoying some winter training on the dirt and at the famous Rocco’s Ranch on Thursday the 4th of February, a bunch of riders – past and present – trained together.
Ducati Team’s Jack Miller and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Fabio Quartararo were in Catalonia pitching their flat track and motocross skills against each other, and they were joined by Moto2™’s Remy Gardner (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Xavi Vierge (Petronas Sprinta Racing). There were some Moto3™ constituents in attendance also: Jaume Masia (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Kaito Toba (CIP Green Power) and Xavier Artigas (Leopard Racing).
Three-time World Champion, KTM test rider and MotoGP™ Legend Dani Pedrosa was at Rocco’s Ranch, both the Spaniard and 2009 250cc World Champion Hiroshi Aoyama were showing the younger guard they’ve still got serious some pace on the dirt. FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship star Diogo Moreira joined the party too on what looked like a very enjoyable day, just a stone's throw away from the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
