FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup regulation and schedule updates

Changes to E-Pole sessions declared wet, Race 2 grid positions and the time schedule announced

In agreement with FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup teams and riders, the following regulation and time schedule updates have been approved by the MotoE™ commission in an electronic meeting held on the 3rd of June 2021. They take effect immediately.

Wet E-Pole procedure
If the E-Pole qualifying session is started in dry conditions and then stopped before being declared wet, pitlane will open for a 15-minute E-pole procedure in which all riders may participate. Previously, the procedure was 12 minutes in length. However, the E-Pole session may be declared wet by the Race Director at any time before it begins. In this case, it will be replaced by an extended 30-minute Wet E-Pole session in which all riders may participate. In this 30-minute E-Pole session, there is no limit on the number of laps riders are allowed to do.

Tyre allocation
The slick tyre allocation for each rider is now as follows:

5 x Front tyres of the same specification (previously 4)

5 x Rear tyres of the same specification

One of the five front and one of the five rear tyres will be a used tyre from the rider’s E-Pole session at the previous event. In the event that the E-Pole session was declared wet at the previous event, the tyre supplier may allocate new tyres instead of used.

Race 2 grid positions
From now on, E-Pole will decide the grid positions for both Race 1 and Race 2 at any double-header event. In 2020, Race 1 finishing positions decided the grid for Race 2.
