
Jack Miller made sure he would be involved in the battle for pole after topping Q1 at the Catalan GP. The Ducati Lenovo Team rider recorded a 1:39.153 to secure his place in the next session, where Pol Espargaro (Repsol Honda Team) will join him.

The Spaniard nudged his teammate Marc Marquez out of the top two spots after receiving a tow from him as he took the chequered flag. LCR Honda rider Takaaki Nakagami can also consider himself unlucky to miss out, having sat in P1 prior to the late drama.
All-in-all, it sets things up nicely for Q2, which is just moments away.
