Bulega tops wet weather FP1

The Italian topped the Moto2™ times on Friday morning as rain continues to fall at Misano

Nicolo Bulega (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) topped the wet weather Moto2™ timesheets in FP1 at the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell'Emilia-Romagna with a 1:48.322. Augusto Fernandez (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) claimed P2, 0.063s off Bulega's pace, as rookie Tony Arbolino (Liqui Moly Intact GP) enjoyed a solid opening stint at Misano with a P3.

Rookie Celestino Vietti (SKY Racing Team VR46) and Hector Garzo (Flexbox HP40) rounded out the top five, as title contenders Raul Fernandez and Red Bull KTM Ajo teammate Remy Gardner ended the session 10th and 15th respectively.

Aron Canet (Aspar Team Moto2), Jake Dixon (Petronas Sprinta Racing) and Sam Lowes (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) all crashed in quick succession at the final corner early in FP1 – riders ok. Simone Corsi (MV Agusta Forward Racing), Ai Ogura (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) and Barry Baltus (NTS RW Racing GP) were other riders going to crash unhurt.
