RW Racing GP is pleased to announce its rider line-up for next season. The sole Dutch Grand Prix Team will start in the Moto2™ class of the 2022 MotoGP™ World Championship with Barry Baltus and newcomer Zonta van den Goorbergh.
RW Racing GP is pleased to announce it has reached an agreement with Zonta van den Goorbergh to ride for the team in the MotoGP™ World Championship's Moto2 class for the next two seasons. The young Dutchman will be the new teammate of Barry Baltus in 2022, the young talented Belgian rider who signed a two-year deal with the team last year.
The 15-year-old Van den Goorbergh comes over from the FIM Moto3™ Junior World Championship and will make his debut as a Grand Prix rider in the colours of RW Racing GP. A big, challenging but well-considered step, which both the team and the rider fully support. The 2022 season will be a learning year for Van den Goorbergh, which is why the decision has been made to have an agreement for two seasons.
Zonta van den Goorbergh: "The 'Road to MotoGP' has moved another step forward! A few years ago, I started on this road and progressed from the European Talent Cup (ETC) to the Junior World Championship Moto3. Now I can make the next big step and that is as a Grand Prix rider in the Moto2 class with the Dutch RW Racing GP!
"Behind the scenes I have been working hard. The people around me like my parents, my sponsors and RW Racing GP have been busy to make this all possible. This choice will be a surprise for some but given the possibilities, the growth I have shown and the 'Road to MotoGP' this is a step that suits me at this point in my career.

With Barry [Baltus] we signed a two-year contract last year and I think we can be satisfied with the progression Barry shows every weekend. I am convinced that with Zonta and his support team, we have made the right choice to make the step to the Moto2 class.
