Nakagami beats Quartararo to top spot

The final FP4 of the season sees the Japanese rider edge out the 2021 World Champion; 0.8s covers entire field

Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu) topped the final FP4 session of the season with a 1:31.208 at the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana, with the Japanese rider beating 2021 World Champion Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) and third place Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar).

0.823s split the entire field in FP4, with just half a second covering P1 to P16. Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) and Luca Marini (SKY VR46 Avintia) crashed unhurt in the 30-minute stint at Turns 2 and 6 respectively – riders ok.
