Gardner undergoes surgery after motocross training incident

The Australian had two screws inserted into his right wrist but initial reports are positive

Moto2™ World Champion and Tech3 KTM Factory Racing’s Remy Gardner has successfully undergone an operation on his right wrist after suffering a minor fracture. The Australian had to have two screws inserted in his arm as a result of a motocross training incident, but initial reports from Dr Xavier Mir in Barcelona are positive.

It is not yet known whether the injury will affect the premier class rookies scheduled appearance at the Malaysia Test at the beginning of February, but Tech3 Racing took to social media to announce that Gardner will begin his recovery process on Friday. The Australian will partner fellow rookie Raul Fernandez in the Tech3 team for 2022 and will be looking to follow in his father Wayne's footsteps by becoming a premier class race winner.
