Is Ana Carrasco set for a Moto3™ return?

Sky Sport Italia reports the Spanish rider has secured a seat with BOE SKX for the upcoming season

After being omitted from the Supersport300 World Championship entry lists, question marks surrounded the future of Ana Carrasco. However, we haven’t had to wait for long for an answer, with the Spaniard seemingly set for a move to the Moto3™ World Championship with BOE SKX according to Sky Sport Italia.

In 2018, Carrasco won the 2018 Supersport300 Championship, becoming the first-ever female motorcycling World Champion. Since then she added four further victories, including a win in Italy last season, and five further podiums to her name. The 24-year-old also has three seasons of experience in the lightweight class under her belt, having competed in Moto3™ from 2013 to 2016, with a top 10 finish in Valencia a highlight.

Having competed on Kawasaki machinery for the past five seasons, she has already returned to riding on a KTM, getting some track time in Jerez ahead of the new season. While not officially confirmed by the BOE team just yet, she will reportedly replace David Salvador in the side with rookie David Muñoz her permanent teammate.
