Prima Pramac Racing’s Jorge Martin has set the pace in the MotoGP™ Warm Up session at the Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland. The ‘Martinator’, who qualified eighth for this afternoon’s race, lapped the Sachsenring as quickly as a 1:21.264, but also reeled off a string of mid-1:21s on his Ducati in already very hot conditions. Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), who will line up 14th, finished second in the Warm Up on a 1:21.441, and Aprilia Racing’s Aleix Espargaro took third on a 1:21.457 ahead of his second-row start in the 30-lap German GP.

Rounding out the top five were Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) on a 1:21.518 and Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) on a 1:21.566. As far as the front-row qualifiers are concerned, World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) was 10th on a 1:21.887, pole man Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) 11th on a 1:21.939, and Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac Racing) 17th on a 1:22.286. Zarco had the only spill of the session, a front-end lose at Turn 13, but got back out on his second bike to complete a practice start. Most ran hard Michelin tyres, at least on the front, with the mercury already into the thirties when the session got underway on Sunday morning.
