Despite the unbridled joy, things weren’t so rosy across the other Ducati garages as Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) crashed out and took poleman Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) with him, while Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team) also failed to see the chequered flag.
It was a night to remember too for the Binder family, with Darryn Binder (WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP™ Team) making his debut in MotoGP™ while elder brother Brad defied expectations to get his KTM onto the podium at their bogey track.
The Qatar GP, as is so often the case, was an unforgettable event and the perfect way to start the new season.
