Mir hints at Aragon return on social media

Will we see the 2020 MotoGP™ World Champion back on his Suzuki at MotorLand Aragon next weekend?

Team Suzuki Ecstar's Joan Mir is seemingly edging ever closer to a MotoGP™ return after he was sidelined by a monster highside at the Austrian Grand Prix. Ligament and bone damage to his right ankle forced the 2020 MotoGP™ World Champion out of last weekend's San Marino Grand Prix but a social media post on Wednesday hinted at the Mallorcan coming back at his home Grand Prix at MotorLand Aragon.

The 25-year-old said: "Looking forward to feeling again my colours, the speed and the wheel up in the air. Soon...". Initially advised to take 15 days break from riding, if his condition has improved at an expected rate than we should see the number 36 back in the premier class next weekend.

However, if Mir isn't ready in time for Aragon, it looks like newly-crowned MotoE™ World Cup winner Domi Aegerter is ready to step in following a one-day test with the Suzuki squad in Misano.
