Acosta set to test KTM's MotoGP™ bike in Jerez

The 2021 Moto3™ World Champion and 2022 Moto2™ Rookie of the Year will jump on board KTM’s RC16 on Monday in Jerez

An end-of-season treat is coming Pedro Acosta’s (Red Bull KTM Ajo) way on Monday the 21st of November as the 2022 Moto2™ Rookie of the Year gets set to jump on board KTM’s RC16 MotoGP™ machine for a few laps around the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto.

The 2021 history-making Moto3™ World Champion will get the chance to test a MotoGP™ bike for the first time at the end of a private KTM test day in Jerez, with three-time World Champion Dani Pedrosa on-site testing for the Austrian factory alongside some of KTM’s Moto2™ and Moto3™ teams.

Acosta and KTM Motorsports Director, Pit Beirer, agreed at the season finale in Valencia – a race which Acosta won to see him finish P5 overall in his debut Moto2™ campaign – to give the Spanish star a chance to enjoy some laps on KTM’s premier class thoroughbred.

It’s an exciting opportunity for both Acosta and KTM before the 18-year-old gets ready to challenge for a second World Championship title in 2023.
