Four Talent Cup riders promoted to 2023 Rookies Cup

Ezawa, Stephenson, Farkas and Boggio have been selected to be on the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup grid next season

Four riders from the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, Honda British Talent Cup, Northern Talent Cup and Hawkers European Talent Cup have been promoted by Dorna Sports to join the 2023 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

From the ATC, Shinya Ezawa has been selected. The Japanese rider finished second to Hakim Danish in this year’s Cup and will join the latter and fellow ATC competitor Carter Thompson in the Rookies Cup next season.

From the BTC, Rhys Stephenson has been chosen to move up the Road to MotoGP™ ladder after a great season challenging eventual Champion Johnny Garness week in, week out.

From the NTC, 2022 runner-up Kevin Farkas will make his debut in the Rookies Cup after showing incredible pace and progress as the season went on.

And finally, from the ETC, Italy’s Dodo Boggio will take part in the 2023 Rookies Cup after a great season with the Aspar Team that included a double victory at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto. Boggio will join Guido Pini, Alberto Ferrandez and Leo Rammserstorfer – plus Danish and Thompson – in being Rookies Cup riders from the ETC.
