Marc Marquez ramps up his pre-season preparations

The eight-time World Champion was joined by his brother a few days on from riding motocross as his condition improves

Repsol Honda Team's Marc Marquez and Gresini Racing's Alex Marquez were spotted at MotorLand Aragon on Tuesday, as the pair set their sights on the first Official Test of 2023 from the 10th to the 12th of February at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.

Riding a Honda CBR600RR, the eight-time World Champion was put through his paces by his younger brother just days after joining him on the MX track. Marquez revealed in November he was forced to reduce the amount of time training on the dirt as he continues to rehabilitate his right arm and shoulder.

Ducati's newest arrival, Alex Marquez, debuted a new number design for 2023 on social media, with the full livery of his Gresini machine being officially unveiled this Saturday. The presentation, alongside Italy's Fabio Di Giannantonio, will be free and live, as always, on motogp.com.

The Honda man's engine-powered training comes after he was joined at the running track by Ferrari F1 star and fellow Spaniard Carlos Sainz. He becomes the fifth four-wheeled star Marquez has mingled with over the winter break after he teamed up with Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen and Checo Perez, plus Alpha Tauri's Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda, at Honda's Thanks Day in late November.
