Angeluss MTA Team welcome three female engineers for 2023

The Moto3™ outfit have announced three more women will be working inside their box for this season

On International Women’s Day, Angeluss MTA Team have announced that they will welcome three female engineers into their box for the 2023 Moto3™ World Championship season.

Aurora Angelucci, MTA Team Manager and CEO of Angeluss Women Sport Management, confirmed that Angela Benavente (Data Engineer), Uxia Rodriguez Nerba (mechanic), and Tania Jaume Rueda (mechanic) will team up with her in MTA this season and that Angeluss Management will actively collaborate with them every step of the way.

This is great news for the World Championship, and it comes a few months on from the team making history with an all-female effort at the 2022 Aragon GP as Maria Herrera returned to Moto3™ as a wildcard. The weekend was designed to give the entire team some valuable experience of World Championship competition.

Angela previously worked as Data Engineer for the BOE team in Moto3™ back in 2021, and with Leopard Impala in the JuniorGP™ paddock. Uxia and Tania are part of ETG Racing, a professional school for competition mechanics and a proper team.

Aurora Angelucci - MTA Team Manager and CEO of Angeluss: “Having a team with the most female professionals is something that makes me proud. I am the only female Team Manager of a team where males and females will work shoulder to shoulder. We are creating that gender balance inclusion that motorsport needs to improve. I want to drive them to MotoGP™ one day, with Angeluss. Angela, Uxia, and Tania are talented and they want to learn.

“They proved their abilities. The team is young, but we will support the riders Stefano Nepa and Ivan Ortola. This is just a small step, and we need more every day. I hope that will be an example for all the girls that have dreams. No one supposes to give up and feel alone along the way. Even more on a day like this one. A day for all the girls and women in the world that have to face bias.”
