A new lap record in the closing stages of Moto2™ P3 sees Aron Canet (Pons Wegow Los40) top the timesheets heading into qualifying at the Gran Premio MotoGP™ Guru by Gryfyn de España, the Spaniard’s 1:40.640 was 0.056s faster than Pedro Acosta’s (Red Bull KTM Ajo) best effort. Friday pacesetter Sam Lowes (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) completes the top three, the British rider was 0.349s off the pace.

Every rider apart from ninth place Somkiat Chantra (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) went quicker than they did on Friday in the cooler Saturday morning temperatures, as Albert Arenas (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Alonso Lopez (CAG SpeedUp) sit in the top five.
Jake Dixon (Autosolar GASGAS Aspar M2), rookie Sergio Garcia (Pons Wegow Los40), Filip Salač (QJMOTOR Gresini Moto2™), Chantra and Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing) are safely into the Q2 shootout inside the top 10. Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) was 0.8s from Canet in P11, with Fermin Aldeguer (CAG SpeedUp), Barry Baltus (Fieten Olie Racing GP) and Bo Bendsneyder (Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team) acting as the final automatic Q2 qualifiers.
