Australian Staring achieved his first big racing success in 2004 when he became 125GP Australian Champion. He then followed this up in 2009 when he lifted the Australian Supersport title, after which he immediately became Australian Superbike Champion in 2010. This rapid success following his step up in categories earned him the accolade of 2010 Australian Rider of the Year Award, and also made him the first rider to win three Australian Championships in those three categories. Following a move onto the world stage, Staring has most recently contested the FIM Superstock 1000 Championship with Kawasaki, taking wins at Aragón, Brno and Portimão in 2012. This year sees him make his first foray into MotoGP™ with the Go & Fun Honda Gresini team, where he will be riding the outfit’s FTR-Honda machine.
