Menyusul kecelakaan di Portimao, Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) absen dari tes pramusim MotoGP™ 2024. Usai pemeriksaan kesehatan terakhir, Morbidelli direkomendasikan, sebagai tindakan pencegahan, untuk tidak melakukan aktivitas olahraga apa pun selama tiga minggu.
Dalam pernyataan yang dirilis oleh Prima Pramac Racing, #21 akan melewatkan Tes Sepang dan Tes Qatar. Morbidelli sendiri diperkirakan akan kembali mengendarai Ducati pada balapan pembuka musim di GP Qatar pada 8-10 Maret mendatang.

Mengendarai superbike Panigale V4S, pembalap Italia itu terjatuh di Tikungan 9, yang kemudian memicu kibaran bendera merah. Prima Pramac Racing lalu mengonfirmasi melalui media sosial bahwa Morbidelli akan menginap semalam di rumah sakit.
Prima Pramac Racing kemudian menginformasikan, bahwa Morbidelli akan pulang ke Italia pada 1 Februari setelah jalani CT scan yang berjalan dengan baik. Dan kini, Morbidelli akan beristirahat sebelum kembali mengendarai motornya di GP Qatar untuk putaran pertama MotoGP™ 2024.
