Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) tried to come back from his #GermanGP injury at Brno, but the Spaniard was later forced to withdraw - then trying again at the Austrian GP. Second time round was a different story, as Martin put in an incredible ride through the pain barrier to third - despite not even being sure on the grid if he would manage the whole race distance.
Jorge Martin, P3: “It was a really emotional race. I was working so hard in summer for this. It was a really hard race because the group were fighting a lot so I was trying to be there and fight. I thought I had the pace to go and get Mir, but the group of riders I was with didn’t allow me to. With only six consecutive laps completed during the weekend, I wasn’t even sure I could finish the race. This is, without a doubt, the best podium of my career and the podium for me is like a victory.”
