Despite a crash early in the day to begin track action, Jack Miller (Octo Pramac Racing) was positive following his first taste of the Ducati bike he now calls his own – ending Day 2 in eighth as second fastest Borgo Panigale machine behind only Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team).

“There have been two really positive days for me,” says the Australian. “I’m really happy about the feeling I was able to get on the bike straight away.” The good feeling also extends to the team, with Miller positive about both the bike and his new surroundings premier class surroundings. So much so, he’s eager to get back on the bike at Jerez.

Marking the crash as a shame about some lost track time, Miller nevertheless was able to do some good work – and said he enjoyed the experience a lot: “It would have been nice to do more laps but we got through most of the things we had to test today, tried some different things, different tyres and different winglets. It wasn’t so bad for me. I was really comfortable, about from the crash with the cold tyre I’ve not really had any moments and I’m really enjoying the stability I have in the braking. I’m able to run lines I wouldn’t normally. It’s different but I’m slowly getting my head around all of it and enjoying it.”

Miller will next be out on track at Jerez next week, before the test break kicks in and the paddock wait for the first Official Test at Sepang.
