Having initially cut his teeth in the Italian Moto3 Championship, Leonardo Abruzzo spent a couple of seasons there before making the move to the FIM JuniorGP World Championship. The Italian rider enjoyed a steady debut season in JuniorGP, maintaining his form into the early stages of 2025. Abruzzo then received his first call up to the Moto3 World Championship at the Dutch GP, with the MLav racing squad handing him the opportunity as a substitue rider.
